Looking for a lap cat? I'm your guy.
I’m big, friendly, extremely confident, inquisitive, affectionate and I ‘trill’ when I’m excited.
If you're looking for a very people-oriented cat, look no further. I love being with people and will even follow them around the house, a bit like a dog. I also eat like a dog - no fussy feline food fetishes for me - and come when I'm called.
I’m relaxed in new environments, happily walking around exploring, with my tail held high. My foster carer calls me Marlon Brando, as I walk with a confident swagger.
I love the company of people. When I'm lying on my back on top of someone who's vegging out watching TV, fully stretched out, and having my tummy stroked, from my head to my toes, I'm in 7th heaven. I 'knead' the air with my front paws, in bliss.
I also love sleeping with someone. I've been told I'm the best cat, ever, to sleep with. I quite like being spooned, with someone's arm wrapped around me. Because I'm big and solid, it's a bit like sleeping with a human, I'm told, except I'm softer and don't snore or steal the doona.
I'm quite dominant towards other animals, even dogs, and am seeking a home where I can be an only pampered puss.
I'm happy walking on a harness and lead, so I can have outside time without wreaking havoc on your neighbourhood's cats.
I’m very, very good looking with a dark grey and white, silky, shiny coat. I have an unusual white/light grey undercoat, making me look like I'm covered in velour.
I was given a second chance at life, after I ran out of time at the pound, and I’m looking forward to my third chance – to be adopted by you!
(Thank you to Wendy Clayton for your beautiful photos of me. I was completely relaxed in your studio).
Chance has his own fan club:
"I looked after this lovely boy when he was at our Cattery [after leaving the pound and waiting for a foster carer]. What a great boy he is. When I took him to the vets for his neutering, they also commented on what a great cat he is. Whoever gets him gets a great cat. Please adopt."
"Beautiful boy....I have met him and he is soooooo affectionate......." From his chauffeur, who drove him from the country cattery to his Melbourne foster home.
